The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that all products meet the required standards for quality specifications. Quality performance issues must be addressed within the continuous improvement guidelines and corrective measures for known discrepancies. A quality management program must be implemented, driving a zero defect supply chain culture.


  • Inspects and tests finished good product making discrimination judgments against established standards and specifications
  • Collects and then analyzes product testing data in order to further develop standards and determine if incoming product is within acceptable product specifications
  • Administers the disposition of rejected product, facilitates the identification of the non-conformance(s) and drives its internal or external (supplier) corrective action(s)
  • Make recommendations concerning product quality issues from all suppliers and recommend improvements to drive continuous improvement
  • Facilitate all SCAR’s (supplier corrective action) and CAR’s (corrective action) program to ensure that any non-conforming product is identified, and resolved
  • Facilitate the Material Review Board (MRB) to address any incoming non-conforming product that requires the cross-functional team to disposition the product
  • Facilitate RMA’s from customers for evaluation and disposition
  • Facilitate Quality Assurance activities such as document control, calibration, data analysis to drive prevention in AVID Product’s supply chain
  • Performs other related duties, such as problem-solving, as requested

  • Advance excel skillsets preferred
  • ASQ Quality certification a plus
  • Extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service orientation, experience interacting with customers and suppliers
  • Experience using, and proficiency with software applications such as spreadsheets, word processing and manufacturing management software systems
  • An ability to prioritize and manage a sizable and varied workload
  • An ability to embrace a team atmosphere and work cooperatively with department colleagues and others in the organization
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Experience: Quality: 1 year (Preferred)
