AVID Donates to Community Organizations

As part of an unyielding commitment to community support, AVID has donated to a variety of worthwhile causes. This comes just in time for the busy New England summer, when organizations will be overflowed with requests from those in need. We hope this inspires others to find a way to give back to their own communities. Every donation counts.

Shultz’s Guest House, Dedham, MA, is a shelter that rescues dogs from the southern part of the country where medical care is commonly unaffordable and animal protection laws are inactive. This amazing organization is run by mostly volunteers that foster dogs and find them loving homes.

Tufts VETS, Walpole, MA, is affiliated with Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. At Tufts VETS, pets receive the best emergency care, as well as other specialty veterinary services from compassionate veterinarians.

The Wish Project, Chelmsford, MA, give immediate support to those who are homeless, living in shelters and victims of fire or disaster. They provide basic necessities and household goods to get people back on their feet and reestablish a home life – something that we all take for granted.

Pedal Thru Youth, Chicopee, MA, promotes an active and healthy lifestyle among youths by donating bikes and helmets to low-income, or needy, families. PTY founder, Bob “The Bike Man” Charland has an empowering story of his own that makes this cause even more commendable.

Gifford Cat Shelter, Brighton, MA, is a wonderful free-roam shelter where cats may live life in comfortable and caring surroundings until they find new homes. Volunteers allow this organization to give cats love and attention 365 days a year.

Friends of Falmouth Dogs, Falmouth, MA, place a lot of time, effort, money and professional training towards making sure dogs are ready for adoption. They have helped over 1,000 dogs find loving families since the group began over 20 years ago.

People for Cats, Falmouth, MA, is an all-volunteer shelter that provides a place for unwanted and feral cats and kittens until they are adopted. To reduce the stray and feral cat population, they have also dedicated efforts to spaying and neutering, as well as educating the public about responsible cat care and ownership.
